Louisville is facing a serious housing crisis marked by a shortage of affordable rental options, rising housing costs, and increasing needs among individuals and families experiencing homelessness. From Homeless to Homeowner: The Bridge to Housing Stability is a community-based initiative designed to help close that gap.
This program provides practical housing navigation, supportive services, and a pathway toward long-term stability. Our goal is to help individuals move from housing insecurity to permanent housing—and where possible, toward homeownership.
We believe safe, stable housing is the foundation for stronger families, healthier communities, and greater opportunity. Through coordinated support, resource connection, and individualized planning, we help participants build a sustainable future.
At From Homeless to Homeowner, our mission is to provide compassionate guidance, housing navigation, and person-centered support to individuals and families facing homelessness or housing instability.
We connect people with the resources they need to secure housing, maintain stability, and build a better future. Our approach is grounded in dignity, collaboration, and practical support that leads to lasting change.
There are many ways to get involved with Shiloh City of Peace. Attend one of our events, become a member, or join a committee. We'd love to have you on board!

Emergency housing and homelessness services in Kentucky are designed to help individuals regain stability after a housing crisis. However, many families need consistent navigation, advocacy, and coordination to successfully secure and maintain housing.
By creating a centralized and supportive model, this initiative strengthens Louisville’s housing network and increases the number of residents who can achieve long-term housing success.
This work is especially critical for:
● Adults under guardianship
● Individuals transitioning from foster care
These populations often benefit from restorative community living, individualized support, and structured pathways toward independence.
We are committed to providing a restorative community living environment that promotes:
● Independence and autonomy
● Person-centered planning and individualized support
● Community involvement and engagement
● Dignity, stability, and hope
Our team works closely with each individual to identify their goals and strengths, developing customized plans that support long-term success and self-sufficiency.
Your support helps expand housing navigation services, strengthen referral systems, and provide practical assistance to individuals and families working toward stable housing.
